MUSIC VIDEOS
SAVIOUR II
I was the lead editor and colorist for this official video from Black Veil Brides. On this project, I favored longer, steadier cuts and fade transitions to accentuate the lush, immaculate, and grand presentation of both the cinematography and the song itself.
ANNIVERSARY
“Anniversary” is a fan-made video I edited for Duran Duran in anticipation of their 2020 album “Future Past”. I combined stop-motion animation, masking, keying/compositing, color correction, and overlaying to match the visual style of each music video recreation depicted in the project.
THE WOLF YOU FEED
In this collaboration featuring Nita Strauss and Alissa White-Gluz, I mainly used performance footage while adding motion and time-remapping effects where needed to compliment the strong, kinetic energy of both the song and the video’s direction.
FORGONE PT. 2
As the lead editor and VFX supervisor on this video for In Flames, I used a variety of overlays, effects layering, motion tracking, sound effects, text animation, and color correction to give the visuals an authentic, VHS style look and feel.
I also worked closely alongside of the director and producer to achieve the desired vision for this video.
DOGMA
I worked as lead editor and colorist on this project from Crown The Empire. I focused mainly on using slower paced edits at the start of this video, building up the atmosphere and tension captured by both the song and cinematography until it all culminates in an explosive, frantic climax.
VICTORIOUS
In my second collaboration with Nita Strauss, “Victorious” tells three different stories simultaneously through the intercutting of narrative and performance footage. For this project, I paced out the edit in a way that effectively told each of the stories and allowed them to build into one another, while using the performances to highlight and reinforce the themes of the song.
FINE LINES
I was Co-Editor on this award-winning music video from rock/folk artist Derrick Day. On “Fine Lines”, I combined B-roll and performance footage to match the look and feel of this unique piece of music. I also assisted with the color correction.
GIVE ME
“Give Me” is my third collaboration with singer/songwriter Heather Harvin. For this project, I primarily used longer, lingering shots between cuts and time remapping to match the soft, dreamlike feel of the song. I also fit the video to a 1.37:1 (35mm) aspect ratio to accentuate the vintage style of the visuals.
KISS OF THE WORLD
I was the Lead Editor and Visual Effects Artist on this video from Beauty in Chaos. Using a combination of green screen, live-action footage, and stock footage, “Kiss of the World” required heavy amounts of keying, compositing, overlaying, color correction, and motion tracking to create the fully realized, dystopian world as described in the song.
This video was made entirely in Adobe Premiere Pro.
GIMME ACTION
Inspired by several popular music videos of the early 2000’s, I used time-remapping effects on the footage to match the fun, throwback atmosphere of the various set pieces. I also chose to key in archival footage to emphasize the themes of the lyrics.
